Hi, I’m Kat.

I’m a New York-based therapist who believes that the most meaningful change starts with being truly seen and understood. Many people who come into therapy tell me a version of the same thing: "From the outside I look like I’ve got it together, but inside I feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of who I’m supposed to be." Maybe anxiety has started to take up too much space. Maybe food has become a way to cope. Maybe you’re in a season of change or transition, and it feels like everything that used to feel familiar no longer fits.

You don’t have to go through that alone. In therapy, you’ll have a space where your full story matters, without shame, judgment, or pressure to perform a certain kind of growth. I’m here not to “fix” you, but to help you make sense of what you’re navigating, reconnect with your voice, and build a life that feels more grounded, intentional, and truly your own.

I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of San Diego, and I have worked across residential, PHP, and outpatient settings, including supporting people with eating disorders and helping youth and young adults find steadiness through life’s transitions. These experiences shaped my belief that healing is not one size fits all. It is deeply personal, and it grows from curiosity, compassion, and connection.

My approach blends Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in a way that meets you where you are. CBT helps us look at patterns of thinking and behavior that might be holding you back. ACT supports you in learning to accept thoughts and feelings without judgment and then take purposeful action toward what truly matters to you. I also draw on relational, nervous-system-informed frameworks to help you understand not just what you’re experiencing, but why it shows up the way it does, and how you can respond with awareness, compassion, and flexibility.

Therapy with me is collaborative. We discover insights together, practice tools that support real-life challenges such as anxiety, self-esteem, body image, and identity shifts, and build habits that help you feel more resilient and connected to yourself and to the people and lives you care about.

Outside of the office, I’m a curious explorer of all things NYC, from neighborhood streets to neighborhood restaurants, and I love trying new recipes with friends and family. With California roots, I’m happiest outside soaking up sunshine whenever possible.
